I made a post about why it was important to start doing business with Nigerian customers.

In that post, I elaborated with some points why it did not make any business sense to keep rejecting Nigerian customers.

I showed that many Nigerian banks were giving and offering Visa and MasterCard.

But one of the best online debit cards you can use for making transactions online from Nigeria is the Zenith web surfer, a prepaid debit card issued by Zenith bank.

 My Experience With Online Payment Services

I have had some nasty experience with online payment and debit cards. Let us not bore you with it. But let me just say that I have some experience with e-gold, Graphcard, VTN and other payment services that have not really lived up to their expectation.

The Zenith Web Surfer

I first applied for a visa card from Skye bank.

My plan was to apply for the Prepaid Visa Card, A card that was going to cost me $20 yearly.

But due to a mistake by one of the workers, I was forced to apply for the gold card not knowing it would cost me $80 for the card in yearly payment.

2 weeks and $80 later, I finally got the card but could only use it for one transaction, other times it was declined. I visited the bank and complained, but my problem was not resolved.

After a week, I withdrew all my cash and went to apply for a zenith web surfer.

 I applied for the card online on their website and completed the rest of the application process in one of the bank’s branch offline.

In less than 24 hours, the detail for the card was sent to me by email, I was ready to start using it.

So in less than 24 hours (the actually said 48 hours on their website), at a cost of $20 per year and a $5 fee per money loaded, I had a MasterCard.

My Advice

If you are looking for a legit card to use in buying stuff from websites, then you should apply for zenith web surfer. Just go to their website and start the process or better yet check any of their branches for details.

By the way, I am not saying that other debit cards and cards from other banks don’t work, but from my experience and the experience of other users, zenith web surfer seems to be the best.
